A new outdoor gym has been installed in Sevenoaks in Kent after the Town Council obtained a grant from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund.
The new equipment had been installed at the town’s Julians Meadow play area and includes a rower and health walker.
Joe Bancroft, unit manager for Tarmac at Sevenoaks said: “We are committed to being a good neighbour within the communities in which we operate, which is why we are pleased to have been able to support the Town Council with the grant towards the outdoor gym. We hope that the local community enjoys the new equipment.”
Open Spaces & Leisure Committee Chairman Cllr Dr Merilyn Canet added: “Sevenoaks Town Council is encouraging everyone to enjoy our parks and gardens and public spaces and to get fit with exercise. Why should children have all the fun? We hope you all enjoy using this new, free facility.”
