We are proud to have been confirmed as a Net Zero Partner for the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum’s (UKREiiF) inaugural event.
The announcement sees us sponsoring the high-profile industry event’s Net Zero Demonstration Theatre, which will showcase the best and latest products, technology, and innovation within the sustainability sector.
We will be hosting discussions and debate over the course of the three-day event, as well as showcasing our own game-changing activity which is helping to lead the transition to a more sustainable and resilient construction industry.
Emma Hines, senior manager – sustainable construction at Tarmac, said: “Tackling carbon emissions requires an industry-wide approach and early engagement across the built environment’s supply chain to shape and embed sustainable thinking from the outset. It’s a great honour to be the net zero partner for the inaugural UKREiiF event and we’re looking forward to getting involved and exploring new ways we can all work together to facilitate sustainable outcomes.”
Nick Toy, senior national commercial development manager at Tarmac, said: “Delivering net zero undoubtedly requires a significant cultural and behavioural shift for everyone involved in construction and infrastructure. We’re thrilled to be supporting the Net Zero Demonstration Theatre to help showcase the great work Tarmac has already achieved in developing sustainable solutions, as well as offer further opportunities to support the industry’s transition to a more sustainable future.”
Keith Griffiths, chief executive officer of UKREiiF, said: “Sustainability is essential for the prosperity and well-being of society and communities which is why it’s a major focus of UKREiiF. When thinking of businesses to partner with on our Net Zero Demonstration Stage, Tarmac was at the very top of the list.
“They’re widely recognised within the construction sector as one of the leading names – putting the net zero agenda at the forefront of their operations. We’re therefore delighted to have their knowledge at hand to help us shape the content and we look forward to us hosting an excellent three-day event on the Net Zero Demonstrate Stage.”
Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17 to 19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
