Today (Tuesday 17 September) marks the start of the UK National Parks Conference, a biennial event that brings together the key decision-makers from across the UK’s 15 National Parks.
The three-day conference is being hosted by the Yorkshire Dales National Park authority and supported by lead partner Tarmac, the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions company.
As this is the 70th anniversary year of the 1949 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, the conference will celebrate the history of National Parks across the UK. It will also look to the future through the theme of ‘new horizons.’

The conference is being held between Tuesday 17 September to Thursday 19 September, with 100 delegates attending including National Parks Chairs and CEOs, representatives from Government and other agencies.
