Deeping Rangers FC under-7s are in high spirits after receiving a donation of £850 from Tarmac’s Maxey Quarry to pay for their team strip.
The newest team at the club is currently in training ahead of their induction into the Peterborough and District Junior Alliance league next season. The club’s thriving soccer school is the gateway for their newest players taking part in weekly sessions to prepare them for their first season of football.
Dan Ingram, head of junior football, said: “I’m thrilled that Tarmac are supporting Deeping Rangers with the funding to buy new kit for our under-7 players. On behalf of everyone here I’d like to say a huge thanks to Maxey Quarry for its support.”
The club’s commercial manager, Kevin Davenport, added: “The donation means that more young people can get active, keep fit, develop their skills and of course have fun in a safe environment. We are indebted to all at Tarmac for their generous support.”
Craig Leigh, quarry manager at Maxey Quarry, said: “The club does a fantastic job of inspiring and motivating youngsters to achieve their dreams and we are proud to do whatever we can to help.”
