Tarmac’s Ballidon quarry is helping local village Parwich, in Derbyshire, get in the festive spirit with the donation of a Christmas tree.
The move came about after quarry manager, Andrew Caile, was approached by the Parwich Carnival and Recreation Committee for support
Andrew said; “It’s extremely important to the team at the quarry that we give back to our community and we’re really pleased to make this contribution to local festivities. This year has been particularly difficult for many and we hope that the residents of Parwich enjoy the tree in the run up to the festive season.”
Lucy Wigley from Parwich Carnival and Recreation Committee said; “We are really grateful to Tarmac for donating the tree. Hopefully it will bring some Christmas spirit to the village which is especially needed this year.”
