Thermally Efficient, lightweight aggregate blocks.
Thermally efficient aggregate block, Aggblock Lite block delivers greater thermal efficiencies from aggregate blockwork. They are highly versatile, multipurpose aggregate blocks that serve as a cost-effective alternative to Aircrete blocks.
With a density of 1100kg/m3 the new Aggblock Lite block achieves an increased thermal performance when compared to our HEMELITE & TOPCRETE products. They are more thermally efficient & lighter than dense or medium dense aggregate blocks.
Aggblock Lite offers a thermal conductivity value of 0.30W/mK and is designed to help external walls achieve a built value 0.18W/m2K supporting the latest Approved Document Part L (conservation of fuel and power)
Where can Aggblock Lite be used?
Walls Above and Below DPC
Aggblock Lite can be used for general purpose walling both below and above the damp-proof course.
Solid External and Internal Walls
For solid walls, Aggblock Lite lightweight aggregate blocks can be used to provide good levels of sound insulation, fire resistance and have a low weight to strength ratio when being used in residential, commercial and industrial applications.
When used for external walls the blockwork should be rendered or clad.
Cavity Walls
Aggblock Lite lightweight aggregate blocks can be used in both inner and outer leafs of cavity walls offering high performance in thermal and acoustic performance, helping meet building regulations.
Beam & Block Floors
7.3N Aggblock Lite aggregate blocks are suitable for use in beam and block floors offering efficient installation and helping achieve sound insulation when used in conjunction with both sound separating and flanking walls.
Loadbearing walls
Aggblock Lite blocks are suitable for use in load bearing walls within structural applications from domestic building through to large scale commercial.
