Overview

Topcrete Residential Party Wall (RPW) Blocks are designed for the construction of solid masonry walls in residential buildings, or rooms for residential purposes such as hostels, hotels or student accomodation. Due to their unique size RPW blocks offer an alternative solution to established sizes of cavity and solid separating walls.

Where can TOPCRETE RPW be used?

Topcrete RPW concrete block is the alternative ‘narrower solution’ to established sizes of cavity and other solid separating walls. Its unique size allows for quicker installation & maximised room space whilst achieving Part E Building Regulations.

Solid separating walls

Topcrete RPW dense aggregate blocks are intended for the construction of separating walls in residential buildings, with good quality workmanship, such as the full filling of joints and continuity of finishes, it is possible to achieve the specified performance of 43DnTw+Ctr. 

The walls may be finished with 13mm dense or lightweight plaster, or 12.5mm plasterboard.

For constructions using the RPW concrete block the design and installation should be in accordance with BS 5628-1 and 3

These blocks are 290mm x 140mm x 190mm and are designed to be used to construct a 190mm thick sound separating solid wall. For estimating purposes, the following number of blocks are required per m2 of laid wall, based on using 10mm mortar joints

• 190mm width = 22.2 blocks
