Large, heavy modern cars with power steering can damage driveway surfaces, by scuffing the surface and tearing out aggregate. The modified binder and high quality, interlocking aggregates in ULTIDRIVE help produce a tough driveway surface and avoid damage from vehicle movement and power steering.

High temperatures in summer months can cause the bitumen binder in conventional asphalts to soften. This means that driveways can be easily damaged by vehicle movements. The modified binder in ULTIDRIVE reduces softening of the driveway of car park surface in hot weather and helps to stop this damage.

Conventional asphalt surfaces use a bitumen binder that can be softened and damaged by significant oil spillages. If left in contact with the asphalt, any oil product will dissolve into the bitumen binder and soften it. The modified binder in ULTIDRIVE gives driveways and car parks enhanced resistance to temporary fuel and oil spills compared to conventional asphalt surfacing. However, any fuel or oil spillages have occurred it should be soaked up quickly using the best available material close to hand to do this such as cat litter, sawdust, dry sand, paper or cloth.
