With a dedicated precast concrete manufacturing plant located at Stamford near Peterborough, Tarmac has the capability to supply off site manufactured precast segments into the construction sector. Since 2017, the site has supplied precast tunnel segments into the Thames Tideway Tunnel.
Precast concrete is produced by casting concrete in a reusable form. It is then cured in a controlled environment and transported to the construction site ready to be lifted into place.
