Social value will play a key role in our long-term business success and leaving a lasting legacy for the next generation. This policy is supported by our sustainability strategy, ‘Act’.

  • Landfill Communities Fund - Providing local communities access to funding for local investment and good causes.
  • Biodiversity - Achieve biodiversity net gain at our sites and contribute to national biodiversity.

Our Commitment


Accountability for Social Value starts with the Tarmac executive committee. In support of this they will be visible in its delivery and make the necessary resources available to implement the strategy.

We will monitor and report our social value impact annually using recognised performance measures.


We will share knowledge and best practices to enhance standards, effectiveness and continuous improvement in social value outcomes.


We will communicate this policy to our employees, customers and supply chain partners.



This policy will be reviewed, as a minimum, annually.
