DUROX Floor Blocks

The light weight quality of Durox means more blocks per load, resulting in more environmentally-friendly transportation.

The use of Durox Floor blocks may reduce the amount of ground floor insulation needed compared to the use of denser floor blocks. This will be further improved when used in conjunction with Durox Foundation blocks.

Cutting, chasing and finishing are all straightforward and quick to achieve using standard tools.

They are light and quick to install and the bigger block size means that less beams can be used further decreasing build times and reducing cost. The overall design load is also reduced.

The sound insulation for internal floors within a dwelling can easily be met using a beam and block floor finished with minimum 50mm sand and cement screed and plasterboard ceiling.

Note – This construction would not be suitable for sound separating floors.

Good U-value and sound insulation help specifiers comply with Building Regulations and other regulatory requirements.

All Durox products conform to a fire rating of Class A1 to BS EN 13501.

At 620mm long and 530mm wide, Durox floor blocks are significatly larger than conventional size blocks, meaning they can be laid quicker and use fewer beams.
