A wellbeing hub in Cheshire has opened its doors to the community, after a final grant from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund facilitated the finishing touches to an ambitious construction project. 

The 2nd Quorn Scout Group is growing fast after a £45,000 donation from Tarmac’s community fund successfully supported the extension of the building it shares with Quorn Girlguiding. 

Tarmac is celebrating entering its fourth year of a ten-year partnership with Clapham-based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, which will see the education and development of 2,500 people from disadvantaged backgrounds and the completion of a staggering 7,700 hours of volunteering.

Employees from Tarmac’s Tunstead site recently supported a science fair attended by local school children.

A welcome donation from Tarmac’s Mountsorrel Quarry, near Loughborough, has resulted in the installation of new speed warning signs on two busy local roads.

Lutterworth Rugby Football Club, in Leicestershire, has been able to tackle much-needed renovations thanks to a £50,000 donation from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund.

The UK’s first all-electric ready-mix concrete mixer has successfully completed a three-month trial of commercial deliveries across Birmingham for Tarmac, marking a significant step on the path to net zero construction.
